Approach:

The new vehicles are tested to ensure that they meet internal requirements for running safety, running comfort, and employee protection.

More than 60 measurement signals are recorded on the vehicle to capture all relevant evaluation parameters. The measurements are carried out on the route network in Germany, in order to obtain representative operating conditions.

Our specially developed measurement software ACQUA®  is used for data acquisition. It enables continuous on-board monitoring of safety-relevant parameters filtered in accordance with standards in real time – this allows anomalies to be immediately detected, documented, and evaluated.

The evaluations are based on our customer's specifications as well as international standards and established evaluation procedures:

• EN 14363 – Assessment of running behaviour

• ORE C 116 RP8 (Sperling's ride index / Wz-factor-method) – Comfort and running quality assessment

• ISO 2631-1 – Effects of whole-body vibrations on humans

Result:

The results of the assessment of vehicle dynamics, comfort, and vibration exposure not only provide our customer with a reliable basis for internal quality assurance, but are also highly relevant for verifying compliance with customer requirements.
