We develop measuring wheelsets for any wheel disc geometries and axle loads especially for homologation tests of rail vehicles. Our algorithm for the design of measuring wheelsets provides a detailed forecast of the performance of the current wheelset geometry as a measuring wheelset. Characteristic values such as 

• Linearity error of the measuring wheelset as sensor
• Dynamic behavior of the measuring wheelset
• Signal strength and signal ripple of the measuring signals
• crosstalk behavior between radial and axial forces

can be calculated in advance. Once suitability has been determined, the wheel disc can be transformed into a measuring wheelset.
