For the autonomous measurement campaign, several components (gearbox housing, brackets, carriage body and bogie) were equipped with strain gauges, acceleration and displacement sensors. The special feature: the entire measurement technology works completely autonomously and under continuous remote monitoring. The sensor data enables a complete load analysis in real time.

The knowledge gained forms a sound basis for strength assessment and future optimization measures.
