Solution:
The test object is a state-of-the- art weed sprayer from Weedfree On Track, which was converted from a former postal wagon by G&G GmbH for plant protection and trade in Hungary. In order to enable a well-founded assessment of the driving behaviour, we equipped the vehicle with measurement technology - including acceleration, gyroscope and radar sensors. Data was collected using our proprietary ACQUA® software solution, which enables seamless real-time recording of all sensor signals directly on board. This allowed any anomalies to be identified and documented immediately.
The tests were carried out on the Austrian rail network. The analysis was based on international standards:
EN 14363 – Testing and Simulation for the acceptance of running characteristics of railway vehicles
TSI LOC&PAS – Approval requirements for locomotives and passenger coaches
Result:
The structured methodology and comprehensive data analysis provided reliable results for the subsequent assessment of dynamic running behaviour. These not only serve as evidence in the approval process, but also provide a valuable basis for any optimisations to the vehilce concept.
